Outline Autism

Background: The autism is a developmental disorder that affects normal brain progress of social and communication skills. Is important for the nurses know this illness because is more common that people think and in the future we will have to address to patients with autism.

Purpose: the purpose of this work is expose the symptoms, causes, diagnosis, treatment and epidemiology of autism. 

Methods: the methods used are a compilation of different informations in papers.

Results: most of the autism’s symptoms can be improved with the appropriate therapy and this allow people with autism to live better with their families or community.

Conclusions: is important the realization of more research, because there are few studies on the subject. Also, educate the population because much people not know that it is autism and this can cause discrimination to them.
